- Born on April 13th 1952 in a small village named Winkel near the airport of Zurich
- 1959-1971: schools in Winkel and Winterthur
- 1971-1974: university of Zurich, Department of Theology
- 1974-1975: practical year as a vicar in Gossau, Canton of Zurich
- May 1975: ordained as a "Verbi Divini Minister" of the Evangelical-Reformed Church of Zurich
- 1975-1996: pastor in the parishes of Gossau, Dietlikon and Bülach
- 1989-1990: training as an industrial chaplain
- since October 1988 part-time company-chaplain for the flying personnel of Swissair / Swiss
and also work as a flight attendant in the same company - since January 1997: Airport chaplain at Zurich Airport
- 1999-2003: President of the International Association
of Civil Aviation Chaplains (IACAC) - Since November 2007: Dean of the Bulach Chapter
